The doctor asked if I had tried any remedies on my own. Indeed I had: I retrained myself to do things left-handed, and had already seen improvement in my right elbow. She congratulated me on my diligence in seeking a solution. “Come on,” I said, “how much diligence does it take to stop doing what hurts?” Doing the eye-roll thing, she said, “You’d be surprised.”
Mind you, we’re talking about people in pain. So imagine how much less effort people will put into deciphering your ad. No wonder clear advertising along the line of “this is what the product does, here’s how you order, and act now dammit” generally outperforms too-creative, indirect approaches.
