Video of a recent presentation by Steve Cuno
What advertising can and cannot do
Earlier this year, I spoke at The Amazing Meeting (TAM), wherein I debunked sundry myths about advertising. Here is the video, which you can watch now by clicking the PLAY arrow below. TAM is the annual convention of the James Randi Educational Foundation, which offers a one million dollar prize to the first person who proves a psychic, supernatural, or paranormal claim. As of this writing, the prize remains safely unclaimed. The talk seemed well enough received, although apparently I let down a Mad Men fan or two. As Vandy Beth Glenn blogged, “I was bitterly disappointed that Steve wasn’t wearing a crisp gray suit, smoking a Lucky Strike, and holding a highball in his hand.” Nor, I might add, does Christina Hendricks work for me. —Steve Cuno Click the PLAY arrow (above) to view. | None other than Bill Nye delivered the keynote at this year’s TAM. (How thrilled he must have been to share the stage with me. Har!) Click here or on the image below for Nye’s address. I wouldn’t blame you if you watched it first. Just promise to return to my presentation sooner or later. For that matter, I highly recommend viewing all of this year’s TAM talks. Click here. More talks will be uploaded soon, so be sure to check back often. |
